After graduating from the Alberta College of Art and Design, Thom Sevalrud has been an illustrator/artist working in Toronto for over 20 years. Prior to teaching at Sheridan for 7 years, Thom served on the PAC (program advisory committee) for the illustration department for about 5 years. Thom has also taught at the Ontario College of Art and Design. His illustration work has received numerous awards and recognition from American Illustration, Communication Arts, and Applied Arts, among many others. His work is featured in the publication ‘The Big Book of Illustration Ideas’. He has created work for a diverse group of local and international clients including, Business Week, Chicago Tribune, Rolling Stone, German Vogue, Canada Post, Sun Life Financial, United Airlines, Double Day Canada, and Mudd Puddle Books, to name a few.
As a member of “No Idea”, a three-person art collective, he continues to pursue other art avenues that feed his illustration career.
