After graduating from the Ontario College of Art in 1965 Stan entered a career as a fine artist spanning 50 years. Stan’s work is represented in many public and private collections including: the Province of Ontario, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, University of Toronto’s Hart House collection and many private collection’s notably that of journalist Scott Young and architect Raymond Moriyama. He has received awards from the Ontario Society of Watercolour Artists and the Colour and Form Society. Stan became a full time professor at Sheridan College in 1988 and became coordinator of the Illustration program in 1991 serving in this capacity for eleven years. During his tenure as coordinator he initiated and developed the proposals for the Advanced Illustration Program and the Bachelor of Applied Illustration programs. He currently teaches part time having elected to retire as a fulltime professor in 2006.
