Jill Dallas, Instructor

Jill has acted as a senior designer with two prominent Toronto graphic design consultancies, Adams + Associates Design Consultants and Viva Dolan Communications and Design, before establishing Zero Thru 9 Design Company with partner illustrator Paul Dallas in 1996 and Rare Bird in 2006.

The body of her portfolio includes a wide cross-section of work, producing identity programs, art publications, brochures, posters, promotional material, and packaging. Her clients include The Big Hole Brewing Company (Montana, USA), Canada Post Corporation, Canadian Forum Magazine, EMI Music Canada, George Brown College – School of Dance, Little Brown and Co., (Canada) Ltd., Ministry of Health for Toronto, Ontario Crafts Council, The Power Plant Art Gallery, Queen’s University, Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, Stroh Brewery International (Michigan, USA), and Virtu/Directions in Canadian Design.

Her work has been recognized with several awards for art direction and design, has been featured in EYE (UK), Studio Magazine, and Visual Impact Communicating Through Graphic Design (Design Editions) and exhibited in Canada and France. She has also served as a judge for Applied Arts and Photography & Illustration Annual Awards. Jill has been an instructor at Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning since 1996 and the Ontario College of Art and Design since 2005.
